New Ways to save and Get Money
In these economic times people are looking for innovative ways to make money. I have seen people selling more on Ebay, selling sports items that they no longer use, and even services. In the area that I live there was a report on the news about bartering services for items or services for services. This is a good thing in my opinion, because it is making people use their minds and it has stopped the extravagant living that people have started doing. In my opinion, we have become lazy and complacent.
Some simple things that I have seen a lot are as follows: growing a garden, growing herbs, rebuilding items instead of just throwing items away that could be reused. Another way people are saving money is to buy clothes that have been used instread of always buying brand new clothes. There are some things that should be bought new, however, there are many clothes that either were never worn or barely ever.
Now back to owning your own business, people still seem to think that they can “get rich quick”! Well, I hate to inform these folks but owning your own business is still work. In some cases you will work more hours when you own a business then you would working for somebody else. I am starting my own business and I know that I will have to do a lot of foot work, phone work and paper work. To me that is ok because I am working for something that I believe in.
If you really want something you need to work for it. You cannot just sit back and expect the money to flow into your bank account without putting in the work. There might come a time when the business starts to run without your constant care but that is because of the work you put into it at first. I am writing this because there are things with sweating for and there are things worth fighting for. If you are trying to turn a business into something that will pay the bills you have to be willing to put your body, mind and spirit into the task.

“There are things worth sweating for and there are things worth fighting for.” I love that line. I grew up being taught if you wanted anything you had to work for it, if only today we’d pass that attitude on to the next generation then maybe so many of us woud stop looking for someone else to bail us out, hand over our dreams, or give us what we want simply because we demand it to be so.
